The 2022-23 NBA season may have ended, but summer basketball is just beginning! And we’ll have you covered for all of the summer hoops 2023 offers at BettingPros. The Big3 is a 3-on-3 basketball league founded by Ice Cube featuring some of the best players ever to hit the hardwood. Games will take place each weekend through the regular season, and we’ll have picks for each and every Big3 matchup. Let’s take a look at the best odds, picks, and predictions for this week’s Big3 basketball action.
Big3 Basketball Best Bets
Here are our best bets for this week of Big3 basketball action.
Trilogy vs. Enemies
Seeing this spread as tight as it is is a little surprising. Trilogy have won three BIG3 titles, including two in a row, yet they’re only favored by 6.5 over a team that has consistently been one of the worst in the league. Two seasons ago, the Enemies went 1-5, then last season, they went 2-4. They have the same team as they did last year, and that’s just not going to be good enough against Trilogy. If this was regular NBA, I’d be tempted to take the underdogs, just because this line doesn’t make a lot of sense, but because it’s BIG3, and there aren’t as many eyes on the lines, I’ll take Trilogy.
Pick: Trilogy -6.5 (-115)
-Phil Wood
Triplets vs. Bivouac
Triplets welcome back two-time BIG3 MVP Joe Johnson after he took 2022 off. Though they struggled without him last season, his presence should make a huge difference for them this season. Bivuoac is relative unknown. Two seasons ago, they didn’t win a game. Last season, they won two. They defeated Triplets 50-46 in Week 4 of last season, but again, that was without Johnson. Johnson may be a bit rusty after taking a full year off, but he’s still a l two-time league MVP. He will be able to do enough to help Triplets cover this tight spread.
Pick: Triplets -2.5 (-120)
-Phil Wood
Power vs. 3 Headed Monsters
This may be the best matchup of Week 1. In last season’s semifinals, Power defeated 3 Headed Monsters 51-49 to advance to the title game. This season, Power has almost the exact same team as a year ago, as they look to win the title at the end of the year. But 3 Headed Monsters has aspirations of their own. After losing to Power last season, they got good news when Reggie Evans announced that he would be returning to the team. With Evans and 2022 MVP Kevin Murphy leading the team, this could be the team to beat this season. That said, we’re taking the points, because Power might be the second-best team in the league.
Pick: Power +3.5 (-110)

Aliens vs. Ball Hogs
The Aliens were one of the expansion teams in 2019. They won only five games in their first two seasons but added five wins and a semifinals appearance last year. They're led by Dusan Bulut and he added a couple of international co-captains, including Tomislav Ivosev and Kostja Mushidi. NBA fans will remember Alonzo Gee. He played eight seasons in the NBA and is also on the roster, along with Janis Timma. This team should shoot it well between Mushidi and TImma, and they'll also move the ball effectively. Meanwhile, they'll take on the Ball Hogs, led by former NBA player Leandro Barbosa. He's added multiple former NBA players to his team, including Jeff Ayres, Jodie Meeks, and DaJuan Summers. They've even got Rick Barry as their coach. Barbosa had a strong season in 2021 but suffered an injury. The Ball Hogs have depth and should be able to control the paint.I'll take the Ball Hogs +6.5.
Pick: Ball Hogs +6.5 (-110)

Ghost Ballers vs. 3’s Company
The Ghost Ballers earned a 3-3 record last season. They're led by Mike Taylor, who only played one season in the NBA. However, he's a major competitor and has enough talent around him to help earn a better record this season. This team has a lot of former NBA players that couldn't hang in the league for a long time. One of those guys is Jonathan Simmons, who will switch from 3 Headed Monsters to the Ghost Ballers. That should help the length of this team a bit more. Conversely, the 3's Company is one of the best teams on paper. They've got Mario Chalmers, Michael Beasley, Brandon Rush, Hollis Thompson, and Julian Wright. This squad struggled to figure it out for most of the year but started to connect later. This team could be unstoppable if they take that same energy into 2023.
Pick: 3’s Company -5.5 (-115)

Killer 3’s vs. Tri-State
The Tri-State should be an exciting team this year. They're led by captain Jason Richardson, who played 13 seasons in the NBA. In 2022, this team finished with a 3-3 record and didn't make the postseason. However, they've added Devin Ebanks and DeShawn Stephens, who could put this team toward the top of the standings. They've got some great shooters and can finish around the rim well. They'll face the Killer 3's, who have Franklin Session as their captain. The only former NBA player on this team is Josh Powell, and the only addition made to this team was Javier Carter, a slasher who likely won't make a huge difference. I like the Tri-State's chances at earning an upset win in this one.
Pick: Tri State ML +115
