Big3 Picks & Predictions: Week 6
For Week 6, the Big3 is splitting its time between Detroit and Houston. The two Detroit games will be played today, while the two Houston games will be played on Sunday. Below, I make one pick for Thursday's slate, then highlight two plays for Sunday’s games. Here are the Big3 picks for Week 6.

Detroit Amps vs. Chicago Triplets
One of Thursday’s games features the undefeated Triplets taking on the Amps. I don't care that this game is being played in Detroit. There won't be any homecourt advantage, and I'm backing the Triplets to win big.
The Triplets have a point differential of +39 after defeating the Riot by 19 last week. They've now won two games by more than 10 points. This is bad news for an Amps team that has a league-worst point differential of -31.
The Amps have been somewhat competitive this year, as they don't have a loss by more than nine points. However, they've also covered a 5.5-point spread twice all season. Those two games came in the first three weeks of play. The Triplets are the best team in the league. The Amps may be better than their record, but they're not good enough to stay close in this one.
Pick: Triplets -5.5 (-115)
DMV Trilogy vs. Miami 305
I really don't know what to make of the Trilogy anymore. Last week, they scored just 27 points and were blown out by the Ball Hogs. They have scored the third-fewest points in the league, and the two teams with fewer points played an abbreviated game in Week 1.
Meanwhile, the 305 are coming off a very impressive win against the previously unbeaten Power. Michael Beasley recorded a 27-point, 10-rebound double-double, while Lance Stephenson added another 16 points.
When it comes to scoring, the 305 are a two-man show. Beasley has scored 82 points, while Stephenson has scored 69. While I don't love the 305's depth, I like their top two scorers a lot more than the Trilogy as a whole. The Trilogy have lost back-to-back games and haven't looked competitive in either. Give me the team playing better basketball to cover this small spread.
Pick: 305 -2.5 (-120)
Houston Rig Hands vs. Dallas Power
The Power suffered their first defeat last week, falling 51-44 to the 305. It marked the third time this season that the Power allowed 44+ points.
Though the Rig Hands enter this game with just a 2-3 record, they've still managed to score 222 points. That's the second-most of any of the teams below .500, and just one point behind the team ahead of them.
While the Power have allowed the third-fewest points in the league, that number is greatly impacted by the Riot's 33-point performance against them in Week 2. And though the Rig Hands have had some bad performances of their own, this is also a team that went toe-to-toe with the Triplets in Week 1, losing by just four points.
I don't know if the Rig Hands can cover a 3.5-point spread, but I like them to score at least 44 in this game.
