Toledo (-14.5) vs Colorado State
Colorado State has lost to South Dakota State and Vanderbilt. They aren’t at their best right now. Toledo is 1-1, and they are great at stopping the run, which is the focal point of the Colorado State offense. They held Notre Dame to 132 yards rushing on the road against a great RB in Kyren Williams. Should the Rockets take the lead early in this game, as I expect, they will attack the QB Todd Centenio. Toledo had 6 sacks against Notre Dame last week and forced 3 turnovers, and while Notre Dame has been bad this year, they are probably better than CSU by a wide margin. Colorado State is 92nd against the run, and Toledo will lean on RB Bryant Koback should they get up in the 2nd half. I think Toledo runs away with this one in the 2nd half!

Georgia vs. South Carolina – Over 48
I think this will be an absolute beat down by Georgia, but the line is gigantic at 31.5! I don’t like lines that are that big (although I’m fairly confident Georgia can beat this line as they did in a 56-7 beat of UAB last week) so let’s take the Over on this game as Georgia seemed to click under new QB Stetson Bennett last week who threw for 5 TDs. South Carolina might not score many points in this game, but Georgia might get most of the over by themselves, so this seems like a lock to me!

Arizona State (-3.5) @ BYU
BYU is riding high off a huge underdog win against rival Utah, but Arizona State is a different animal. ASU has a legit top 25 roster and can definitely win the PAC-12 after seeing what USC and Washington put on film so far this year. BYU earned their victory against Utah, but Jayden Daniels is a WAY better QB than they faced last week in Charlie Brewer. When BYU faced Arizona, they gave up 345 passing yards. They should be on their heels early and often against Daniels and the Devils passing game!

UCLA (-11.5) vs. Fresno State
I think Fresno State is a pretty solid team, but UCLA is on another level right now. The Bruins dominated Hawaii week 1 and then beat LSU a week later. Dorian Thompson-Robinson looks like he’s taken the step that we’ve been waiting for, but UCLA’s domination comes from the OL. UCLA ran for over 200 yards on LSU and Hawaii, and Fresno State gets them coming off a bye week! Fresno State played Oregon hard, but the Ducks ran for 186 yards and 3 TDs against them, so UCLA shouldn’t have issues there. Fresno State has a solid offense, but they start with NFL prospect RB Ronnie Rivers, and UCLA is 4th against the run and held LSU to 49 yards. I have UCLA big in a fun, late-night matchup!

Liberty vs. Old Dominion – Over 53
This is another lopsided game with a spread of 27.5 for Liberty. However, Liberty is an offense that can put up most of this over by themselves! Liberty has one of the best offenses in College Football led by QB Malik Willis (whose draft stock is rising), and this is the type of game they should look to put up some eye-popping numbers to earn national respect and recruits. Old Dominion is considered one of the worst FBS teams in the country by all preseason measurements, but they did get a little bit of rhythm last week playing FCS Hampton and putting up 47 points and 572 yards. I’m sold on the over in this game!

Other Bets I Like

  • Nevada -2 @ Kansas State
  • Iowa vs. Kent State – Under 56.5
  • Clemson vs. Georgia Tech – Under 51.5
  • Memphis +3.5 vs. Miss State
  • Marshall -10 vs. East Carolina
