Deshaun Watson has not been impressive since returning from suspension. He has thrown two touchdowns and three interceptions with a 69.3 passer rating. For the Commanders, Ron Rivera benched Taylor Heinicke in favor of Carson Wentz, who completed 12 of 16 passes for 123 yards and one TD last week. Heinicke was sacked 10 times in his previous three games, so they need to step up the protection against Myles Garrett and the Browns’ defense.
The Browns have allowed 162 rushing yards per game in their previous three games but just 148.3 passing yards per game in that span. The Commanders have averaged 134.3 rushing yards per game in their last three games, despite having just 79 yards against the stout 49ers defense last week. If Wentz can take care of the ball, the Commanders should be able to keep their playoff hopes alive.
