We had another productive day with Matchday 28, as we went 2-1 with our picks. That now pushes us to 7-2 through three weeks — German soccer has proven to be quite productive for us. We again have a tight turnaround here as Matchday 29 is this weekend, and we’ve got action on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. Let’s take a look at the weekend card and see if we can find some winners:

Freiburg vs. Leverkusen
Odds: Freiburg +380, Draw +310, Leverkusen -150
I’ve seen a lot of handicappers going with Leverkusen this week, and I can understand why. Freiburg’s last two games were a 3-3 draw with Eintracht Frankfurt, who are currently 14th in the standings table, and a 1-0 loss to Werder Bremen, who are 17th in the table. The win by Werder was just their fifth this season.
Leverkusen is fifth in the table, but they’re coming off a surprising 4-1 loss to Wolfsburg. They had won four in a row before that match, outscoring opponents by a count of 14-3.
I’d understand if you like Leverkusen, but I like the under here instead. The last two times these teams have squared off, we’ve seen 0-0 draws. Freiburg’s 13 home games are averaging 2.3 goals per game, while Leverkusen has allowed just 19 away goals — the fifth-fewest. I’ll roll with the under here.

Wolfsburg vs. Eintracht Frankfurt
Odds: Wolfsburg -105, Draw +270, Eintracht Frankfurt +270
Wolfsburg is definitely not a great home team. On the season, they have just four home wins, which ties them for the third-fewest. However, I do think this is a good spot for them, as they’ll be hosting Eintracht Frankfurt, who is the worst road team in the Bundesliga.
Eintracht Frankfurt is just 2-1-10 in their 13 away games, and they’re playing pretty poorly coming into this match. They’re fresh off a 3-3 draw with Freiburg, but they have now allowed at least three goals in five straight games. Wolfsburg has won two of their last three, and they should make it three of four after this one.

Cologne vs RB Leipzig
Odds: Cologne +440, Draw +350, RB Leipzig -180
Cologne (or FC Koln, if you’re looking around in your sportsbook) will host RB Leipzig in the lone Monday affair. Leipzig is one of the higher-scoring teams in the Bundesliga, especially on the road. Their 35 away goals are the second-most only to Bayern Munich. Their road games are averaging a healthy 3.4 goals per contest. As for Koln, they are now as much of an offensive juggernaut, but they tend to play higher-scoring games too. They’re averaging the same 3.4 goals per game on the year.
Since returning from the break, Koln’s three games have each seen at least four goals, while Leipzig’s has averaged 3.67. That’s why I’m looking toward an over in this spot, as we should hit at least three goals here.
