NFL Week 18 Odds, Picks & Predictions: Cardinals vs. 49ers

A testament to San Francisco’s infrastructure, the 49ers are undefeated with third-string QB Brock Purdy under center. San Fran nearly lost this distinction last week in Las Vegas, escaping with an OT victory over the Raiders, but nevertheless– the 49ers haven’t skipped a beat since Purdy has taken over for an injured Jimmy Garoppolo.

Arizona has endured similar turmoil at the QB position, though it has not been so seamless in the Desert. The Cardinals are once again starting QB David Blough, their fourth starter amid a tumultuous season, and though Blough played fairly well in Atlanta last week, his presence certainly does not inspire confidence.

If one must pick a side, elect to back the 49ers. Kyle Shanahan’s 49ers have covered in nine of their last ten as a home favorite, and San Fran still has an outside shot at the NFC’s top seed with a win.
