The Falcons return home on a four-game losing streak to face the Colt McCoy-led Cardinals. McCoy cleared the concussion protocol and was named the starter by Cliff Kingsbury. They have lost five games in a row but have a good matchup in this game. Atlanta has surrendered 157.3 rushing yards per game in their last three games, while the Cardinals have allowed 114.3 rushing yards per game this season. McCoy has thrown just one passing touchdown this season, and Desmond Ridder has yet to throw a touchdown or an interception.
Both teams want to run the football, which could shorten this game. James Conner missed Wednesday’s practice with an illness but has a fair shot at playing if he can practice. Greg Dortch had 13 touches for 123 total yards in last week’s game, so it would not be a surprise if they get him the ball in space.
