Alcaraz lost to qualifier Fabian Marozsanin Rome as a -20000 favorite, a shocker considering he has won better than 90% of his matches this season. That loss could just be a one-off considering it followed wins in Barcelona and Madrid, the debate surrounding Alcaraz is if he is worth the short +125 odds given he has not advanced past the quarterfinals at Roland Garros. Given his short odds, bettors are not likely backing Alcaraz in any market other than to win, and his maiden Grand Slam victory at the US Open last year should give bettors confidence.
