Caroline Garcia: 2023 French Open Betting Odds, Picks & Predictions

For as much as Rafael Nadal has dominated the men’s side of the French Open with 14 career titles, there has been much more parity on the women’s side. The second major of the season begins on May 28, with the women’s final taking place on June 10. Roland Garros has celebrated eight different women’s champions in the last nine years, with Iga Swiatek (2020, 2022) the only repeat winner in that span. That is much of the reason Swiatek is the overwhelming odds-on favorite to win her fourth Grand Slam, as she looks to capitalize on the void left by Ashleigh Barty and Serena Williams as the next most dominant player in women’s tennis. Is a third title at Roland Garros a formality at this point for Swiatek, or will the tournament’s parity result in yet another unforeseen winner? Read on for our thoughts and predictions for the top contenders at the 2023 French Open.

2023 French Open Betting Odds, Picks & Predictions: Caroline Garcia

Here is our betting outlook for the 2023 French Open.

2023 French Open Betting Predictions

Just two French women since 1967 and one since 2000 (Mary Pierce) have won at Roland Garros, so Caroline Garcia has a huge obstacle to overcome from a historical perspective. Garcia is in the same quarter as world No. 2 Aryna Sabalenka, but does own a 3-2 head-to-head advantage over her. If the clay courts in this year’s French Open play to faster-than-average conditions, that would favor Garcia and her dominant serve. That is why Garcia has been so successful on hard court, as her three WTA Finals victories all came on that surface. And in her semifinal run at the US Open last year, Garcia did not face a single break point in either of her first two matches, and was broken just three times total before her loss to Ons Jabeur. Garcia did win a double’s championship at Roland Garros last year.

2023 French Open Betting Advice & Picks

Given that Garcia has +5000 odds or longer at most sportsbooks, her ceiling is most likely a quarterfinal loss to Aryna Sabalenka.
