NFL Week 18 Odds, Picks & Predictions: Chiefs vs. Raiders

The Raiders certainly didn’t roll over last week, as their decision to insert backup QB Jarrett Stidham into the starting lineup nearly sparked an unlikely win vs the 49ers. Stidham was excellent, as he shredded the league’s top rated defense per both DVOA, and EPA / Play. Too, Stidham was statistically better than former starter Derek Carr had been all season, and perhaps his presence/ familiarity with Josh McDaniels’ system bolsters the Raiders’ offense.

With that said, fluke performances happen, and the Chiefs are playing for everything this week. Kansas City may claim the AFC’s no.1 seed with a win, and have a strong history in divisional road games with Patrick Mahomes (15-0 SU, 9-6 ATS). It is very unlikely the Raiders manage to win this game outright, but there is an avenue for them to cover– especially so if Vegas can replicate its Week 17 performance.
