Because they are not postseason eligible in their first season in Division I (absurd), James Madison conceded the Sun Belt – East’s spot to Coastal Carolina who will take on Troy for the conference. As a reminder of the absurdity, JMU rightfully laid it on them in their last game of the regular season, as the Chanticleers lost 7-47 on the road last week at JMU.
Now, the Chanticleers will be forced to get off the mat on the road as they head to take on a red-hot Troy team. Following a September 17th loss at Appalachian State, the Trojans have been on a mission, winning 9 straight (7-2 ATS) on their way to running away with the Sun Belt West.
A large part of their run has come down to one of the best defenses in the country, as the Trojans come into this one allowing just 16.8 points per game. Look for them to handle business in this one.
