College Baseball World Series Odds & Picks (Saturday)
The 2025 Men’s College Baseball World Series Regionals roll on Saturday, and some teams will be headed home out of the loser’s bracket. A lot of the regionals went according to plan, with many top picks shaking off the lower seeds, but there were plenty of upsets.
The most notable upset was in Corvallis, as the host Oregon State Beavers were tripped up by the No. 4 seed Saint Mary’s Gaels. We’ll see if the host is able to rebound, or if Cinderella is fitted for spikes.

Ole Miss Rebels (-195) at Western Kentucky Hilltoppers (+150) | O/U 12.0 (-115/-115) Regional Picks
The host Ole Miss Rebels (40-20) were stunned at home in the Oxford Regional by the Murray State Racers. The Rebels committed two errors, while the Racers piled up 12 hits, to just eight for the hosts, as Ole Miss fell 9-6 in the opener.
Meanwhile, the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers (46-13) were upended 9-2 by Georgia Tech of the ACC, setting up a loser’s bracket battle at 2 p.m. ET.
Ole Miss fell behind 4-0 after two innings, but the Rebels took a 5-4 lead after four frames. It was a seesaw battle, tied 6-6 after seven innings, but the Rebels bullpen coughed up three runs in the final two innings.
3B Luke Hill and 1B Will Furniss each posted a pair of hits while both drawing walks. 2B Judd Utermark had a homer with three RBI, while DH Campbell Smithwick belted a solo homer. Ole Miss will need all of that, and then some, to avoid an embarrassing ouster on their home diamond.
Look for Ole Miss to get the job done, rebounding from an ugly setback. Let’s go high on the total, too, as the Ole Miss bats should come alive early against the ‘Toppers.

Alabama Crimson Tide (+100) at Southern Miss Golden Eagles (-120) | O/U 12.0 (-115/-115) Regional Picks
While a few hosts fell in their opening games Friday, nobody is in trouble more than the Southern Miss Rebels (44-15), a team which finished ranked No. 16 in the nation. Southern Miss was belted 11-4 by Columbia of the Ivy League, as the No. 4 seed inexplicably outhit Southern Miss by a 16-to-5 margin, while the Lions overcame a pair of errors.
Down is up, and up is down in this regional. The No. 2 seed Alabama Crimson Tide (41-17) of the SEC were stunned by the Miami Hurricanes, falling 5-3, so either the No. 1 or No. 2 seed is headed back to campus if they cannot rebound Saturday afternoon in Hattiesburg.
Miami jumped all over Riley Quick for three runs in the top of the first inning, and the Hurricanes led wire to wire.
Now, either the No. 16 ranked host Golden Eagles or No. 24 ranked Crimson Tide will be heading home. We should see decent pitching in this talented loser’s bracket game, and runs should be at a premium. Let’s back the Crimson Tide to get the job done, eliminating the hosts.
Picks: Alabama Crimson Tide Moneyline (+100) & Under 12.0 Total Runs (-115)
The No. 4 seed Saint Mary’s Gaels turned the Corvallis Regional upside-down by stunning the host Oregon State Beavers (41-13-1) by a 6-4 count on Friday.
Now, Oregon State must play in the loser’s bracket against the TCU Horned Frogs (39-13). The latter was manhandled by USC in the afternoon game, as the Trojans stomped the Horned Frogs 13-1. The Big 12 representative got into trouble with ice-cold offense, while the pitchers also allowed 12 earned runs, 14 hits and nine walks in a perfect storm.
TCU’s Tommy LaPour was pounded for three runs, six hits and a walk in just three innings. The bullpen wasn’t much better, and the only offense came courtesy of DH Sawyer Strosnider, who had a solo home run in four at-bats with two strikeouts. 3B Jack Bell and IF Cole Cramer had one double apiece for the only other extra-base hits against the Trojans.
Oregon State OF Easton Talt delivered a triple in Friday’s loss to SMC, and he was the only Beavers hitter with multiple hits, finishing 2-for-4 with four total bases and an RBI. OF Gavin Turley had a homer and two RBI, while 3B Trent Caraway belted a solo homer.
It’s hard to imagine Oregon State losing both games in its own regional. The Beavers came into the regional with 17 victories in 19 tries at Goss Stadium at Coleman Field in Corvallis. The Horned Frogs are also looking for redemption, but it’s a tall order against the top seed. Back the Beavers, and look for a lot of offense in the matinee game.
