Mississippi State Bulldogs at No. 17 Alabama Crimson Tide

Alabama comes into this game on a roll with wins in its last six games. The offense has been on fire with 90+ points in five of those six and 100+ points in two of the games. But when your defense is ranked No. 352 in the country, you have to have the No. 1 offense in the game (92.6 points per game) to win games.

Mississippi State has certainly had a harder time this season (13-14, 5-9 in the SEC). They are coming off a 97-89 loss to South Carolina and have lost four of their last six games. When these two teams met back on January 13th, the Crimson Tide came away with a 97-82 win.

I was leaning toward the over since we have two of the worst defenses in the country and the No. 1 offense in the nation. But since Alabama blasted the Bulldogs by 15 points in Starkville, I can't be confident the Mississippi State offense will do enough on its end. However, if the Tide can blast them by 15 on the road, they can do as well, if not better, at home.

Pick: Alabama -13.5 (-120)

Texas A&M Aggies at No. 20 Arkansas Razorbacks

At one point in the season, Texas A&M was shaping up to be an eventual lock to make the 2026 Men’s NCAA Tournament. But then they lost four in a row and their record fell to 17-8. They have since bounced back with a pair of wins, the last a 75-71 victory against Oklahoma. Most consider them a team that "should" get in, but that also means they're a loss or two from going squarely on the bubble and possibly not making the tournament at all.

A win today would certainly keep them on track.

Texas A&M and Arkansas have been using similar approaches this season. Both teams have high-powered offenses; the Aggies average 88.9 points per game (ninth in the country) and the Razorbacks average 89.8 points per game (fifth in the country). Neither plays good defense. Texas A&M is ranked No. 294 in the country, and Arkansas is No. 300.

If I were to pick a winner, I'd lean toward Texas A&M and the points, because the Aggies are a solid three-point shooting team. It's the one definitive edge either team has over the other. Otherwise, they are very similar in style and production.

But with two top-10 offenses facing defenses ranked No. 294 and No. 300, I feel compelled to go with the over.

Pick: Over 169.5 Points (-110)
