Duke at Ohio State: Pick Duke -2.5

(Tip, 9:30 p.m. ET)

The Blue Devils are riding high after a stunning 84-81 win over No. 1 Gonzaga. In that game, guard Paolo Banchero continued to shine as he had 21 points. The Bulldogs out-shot and rebounded in this game, but the big key for Duke coming away with this win was the turnovers as they forced 17 of them, including 11 steals.

It was not a good weekend for Buckeyes fans as their men’s basketball lost in a heartbreaker to Flordia 71-68 on a buzzer-beater three. I think also something happened with their football team. Guard E.J. Liddell continues to play well this season as he scored 23 points and five blocks in this game. Liddell has been a prime offensive player for Ohio State as he’s the only player averaging double-digit points this season.

This will be a tough spot for Ohio State, who can’t find anyone else to score for them. All the Blue Devils need to do is shut down Liddell, and they should be able to coast to a convincing win.

Northwestern at Wake Forest: Pick Northwestern +2

(Tip, 9 p.m. ET)

Last game, the Wildcats were able to take third in the Roman Legends Classic as they beat Georgia 78-62. NW dominated most of this matchup as they led by a high of 29 points at one point. Forward Pete Nance and guard Boo Buie continue to be a great 1-2 punch, especially Buie, who now has over 20 points in back-to-back games.

Wake Forest came into the ECC championship at a perfect 6-0, but they were no match for LSU losing 75-61. The Demon Deacons had a couple of chances to stay in this game — Wake Forest led 11-6 after a 3-pointer by Khadim Sy with 12:18 left in the first half, but the Tigers would go on a 15-0 run. WF would close to within three points, but an LSU 7-0 run, and they led 31-21 at halftime and never looked back.

The turnovers are going to be something to watch. Northwestern has been good at keeping the ball as they’ve committed a turnover on just 12.6 percent of its possessions this season, which is the seventh-best percentage among all Division I teams. Wake Forest has precisely double the turnovers of Northwestern (104 to 52).

Siena at Army: Pick Army -7.5

(Tip, 7 p.m. ET)

In Army’s last game, tied at 27, they were able to play tough in the second half against Marist to win 65-61. Guard Jared Cross hit a 3-pointer, and Jalen Rucker was able to work his way into the paint twice. This set the tone for the Black Knights, as they never gave up the lead after taking it in the second half.

It was an all-around poor offensive performance for Siena in their 65-56 overtime loss to Bucknell. They could only hit 33.8% of their shots and went 6-for-28 from behind the arch. The overtime period was especially rough as they went 1-for-9, including missing some easy layups.

Army should not have had a problem putting away Siena early. Forward Charlie Peterson will be tough on the boards and not allow Siena any second opportunities, while Rucker has the ability to get hot from long range, which put this game out of reach.
