College Football Futures: Best Bets to Win Heisman Trophy (2021)

With the 2021 college football season now weeks away, all future markets are coming into the numbers, which they’ll most certainly settle in around shortly before the first kickoff. Still, for those willing to dig deep enough, some value remains as this season is as wide open as I can remember in recent years.

Let’s take a closer look at a few players slightly further down the board I have my eye on.

Kedon Slovis (+2500 at FanDuel Sportsbook)
Is USC officially back? Quarterback Kedon Slovis could very much have the answer to that question in his arm this season. After a 2019 campaign where he threw for 3,502 yards, 72% completion rate, and a touchdown to interception ratio of 30-7, he followed up with another strong, albeit shortened, 2020.

Already the favorites to win the PAC-12, USC and Slovis will have plenty of chances to run up the score and pad his stats, especially with one of the best weapons in the country at his disposal in wide receiver Drake London. With national tv slots littering the schedule, I look for Slovis to be on the stage in New York City come the winter.

Matt Corral (+1800 at FanDuel Sportsbook)
One of the most dynamic under-the-radar quarterbacks in the nation, Corral will helm Lane Kiffin’s offense for the second full year in a row, and I look for him to build on what was a stellar 2020. In the end, Corral finished with 3,337 yards, a 71% completion percentage, 29 touchdowns, and 500+ yards on the ground. If he can limit his interceptions (14 in 2020), Corral has the weapons and offensive scheme to put up monster numbers once again in 2021
