Vanderbilt at Florida, 12 PM, ESPN

The Gators return home in a foul mood after essentially losing the SEC East last weekend to Georgia. The guests will be a Commodores team which has lost four of its five conference games by double digits. Florida rebounds with a big win and cover.

The Pick: Florida -26.5 (-110)

Penn State at Minnesota, 12 PM, ABC

This is one of the week’s two matchups of undefeated teams. Penn State has looked unstoppable while rolling to 8-0. Minnesota has impressed, but the competition level steps up substantially here. The Golden Gophers will put up a fight on the home field, but the Nittany Lions pull away in the end.

The Pick: Penn State -7 (-110)

Texas Tech at West Virginia, 12 PM, ESPN2

Two of the also-rans of the Big 12 square off in what could turn out to be a points fest. The Red Raiders have dropped three in a row, while the Mountaineers have lost four straight. It’s close to a toss-up, but the home team plus the points is the much more appealing side.

The Pick: West Virginia +2.5 (-110)

East Carolina at SMU, 12 PM, ESPNU

SMU fell from the ranks of the unbeaten last week at the hands of Memphis, but the club can still be a factor in the AAC in 2019 if they handle business the rest of the way. They should do just that on Saturday with a big home win over East Carolina.

The Pick: SMU -21 (-110)

Baylor at TCU, 12 PM, FS1

The Bears are undefeated and currently atop the Big 12 standings, while the rival Horned Frogs are just 4-4. As the tight spread indicated, the hosts should still come to play for this rivalry game. Baylor just has too much on both sides of the ball for TCU to deal with when all is said and done.

The Pick: Baylor -2.5 (-110)

LSU at Alabama, 3:30 PM, CBS

The marquee game of the season to date will decide lots of things. Signs point to Tua Tagovailoa giving it a go after missing time with an ankle injury. The matchup is incredibly close, but the home-field advantage for the Crimson Tide is strong. Alabama wins and covers.

The Pick: Alabama -6 (-110)

Louisville at Miami, 3:30 PM, ESPN2

Scott Satterfield’s first year on the sidelines at Louisville has led to immediate improvement for the program. The Hurricanes have been up and down, but they enter this one having won two in a row. Cardinals keep it close, and they could steal one outright to boot.

The Pick: Louisville +6.5 (-110)

Kansas State at Texas, 3:30 PM, ESPN

The Wildcats are another program that’s benefitting from a new voice in the room. Chris Klieman has this team ready to go and believing in itself. The Longhorns opened up the year with big expectations, but they haven’t come to fruition. Kansas State keeps pace, and an outright upset isn’t out of the question.

The Pick: Kansas State +7 (-110)

Wake Forest at Virginia Tech, 3:30 PM, ACCN

The Demon Deacons have been the best team in the ACC this season that’s not named Clemson. The Hokies have improved after some early-season struggles, so we should be in for a tight one. Wake Forest wins and covers in advance of next week’s showdown with Clemson.

The Pick: Virginia Tech +2.5 (-110)

Iowa at Wisconsin, 4 PM, FOX

The winner of this tilt remains alive in the race for the Big Ten West, while the loser will need some help to stay in the chase. The Hawkeyes offense leaves a lot to be desired, but the defense can bring it. The Badgers have cooled off after a red-hot start and lost two in a row. Iowa keeps it closer than expected in a defensive-minded affair.

The Pick: Iowa +9.5 (-110)
