Illinois at Iowa, 12 PM, BTN
The Fighting Illini are a surprising 6-4 and are riding a four-game winning streak. Questions on Lovie Smithâs job security have gone by the wayside as a result. The Hawkeyes have come up short in their quest for a Big Ten West title, but a 9-win season remains in reach. Iowa gets the home win, but Illinois comes to play and keeps it interesting.
The Pick: Illinois +15.5 (-110)
Penn State at Ohio State, 12 PM, FOX
One of the marquee games of the day will effectively decide the Big Ten East. The Nittany Lions have lost just once this season, while Ohio State has steamrolled over every opponent in their path. An outright upset for Penn State is a longshot, but they can still give the Buckeyes their toughest test of 2019 to date.
The Pick: Penn State +18.5 (-110)
Oklahoma State at West Virginia, 12 PM, ESPN2
The Mountaineers have disappointed this season, while the Cowboys are currently the third-best team in the Big 12 behind Oklahoma and Baylor. On paper, Oklahoma State should get the easy win, but West Virginia still has life for a .500 season. The home dog Mountaineers get the cover in a potential shootout.
The Pick: West Virginia +7 (-110)
Boston College at Notre Dame, 2:30 PM, NBC
It has been a disappointing season for the Eagles, but they still have hope of getting to six wins. Theyâll have their work cut out versus a stout Fighting Irish squad that rolled over a tough Navy team last week. Notre Dame is on a mission for a 10-win campaign. Theyâll take another step towards that, but Boston College keeps it a little closer than expected.
The Pick: Boston College +19 (-110)
Texas A&M at Georgia, 3:30 PM, CBS
All three of the Aggiesâ losses have come to teams that were ranked in the top 10. They face another highly-ranked squad in this weekâs trip to Georgia. The Bulldogsâ defense has been lights out this season, so itâs tough to see Texas A&M doing enough to earn the upset. However, that doesnât mean that they canât make this game really interesting.
The Pick: Texas A&M +13 (-110)
Texas at Baylor, 3:30 PM, FS1
For the second week in a row, the Longhorns are pretty big road underdogs against a Big 12 foe. They got the cover last week versus Iowa State. The Bears still have hope for a conference crown in spite of last weekâs crushing loss to Oklahoma. They bounce back for the win at home, but Texas makes them real nervous along the way.
Michigan at Indiana, 3:30 PM, ESPN
There will be no Big Ten crown or CFP berth for the Wolverines, but the club has played well since disappointing earlier in the season. The Hoosiers have surprised this year while going 7-3 and even made an appearance in the AP Top 25. Michigan is the stronger squad and gets the win, but the home dog Hoosiers and their potent offense get the cover.
SMU at Navy, 3:30 PM, CBSSN
The AAC West remains up in the air, but Memphis is in the driverâs seat with wins over both SMU and Navy. However, one of these squads could slide in if the Tigers happen to stumble. The Mustangs had last weekend off, while the Midshipmen were crushed at Notre Dame. Navy may get its bounce back, but SMU will make them work for it.
Pittsburgh at Virginia Tech, 3:30 PM, ESPN2
The ACC Coastal is among the division races which still need to be decided. Pitt and Virginia Tech both stand at 7-3, as does Virginia. All three teams have won their last two in a row to boot. For this tilt, the Panthers get the edge on defense, while the Hokies are more productive on offense. Pitt keeps it close, and an outright upset wouldnât be surprising.
UCLA at USC, 3:30 PM, ABC
Itâs another down year for the Bruins, who check in at 4-6 after last weekâs shellacking at Utah. The Bruins have won two straight and stand at 7-4. Theyâre the stronger overall team, but UCLA should be able to show some signs of life for a big rivalry game. USC wins, but UCLA at least keeps it entertaining.
