Ohio State at Michigan, 12 PM, FOX
Heading into the season, this was one of the most highly-anticipated matchups of the year. Two losses for Michigan later and some of the luster is off. However, this game still means a ton for Jim Harbaugh and company as the Buckeyes blew their doors off last season. The Wolverines at least make a game of it this time around.
Clemson at South Carolina, 12 PM, ESPN
Outside of a close win over North Carolina and a challenge from Texas A&M, Clemson has been rolling over everyone. Oddsmakers are expecting more of the same for this weekâs trip to South Carolina, but thereâs some fight in these Gamecocks (see the stunning upset over Georgia). South Carolina keeps it closer than expected.
The Pick: South Carolina +27 (-110)
Georgia at Georgia Tech, 12 PM, ABC
Theoretically, rivalry games should bring out the best from both sides. However, they still sometimes donât live up to their billing due to gigantic mismatches. This is one of those times. The Bulldogs are in the mix for a CFP berth, while the Yellow Jackets are in the midst of a trying transition year. Georgia rolls and covers.
Louisville at Kentucky, 12 PM, SEC
Louisville has made some great strides in the first year of Scott Satterfieldâs tenure. Kentucky was a big surprise last season, but they havenât been able to deliver an encore. The Wildcats deserve to be favored on the home field, but an outright upset by the Cardinals would be less than stunning.
The Pick: Louisville +3.5 (-110)
Alabama at Auburn, 3:30 PM, CBS
Barring a huge turn of events, there will be no playoffs for Alabama this season. We would imagine that has Nick Saban feeling rather colicky. Auburn has the talent on defense to make this a game, but they donât have the firepower on offense to keep pace. The Crimson Tide takes the Iron Bowl and covers.
Wisconsin at Minnesota, 3:30 PM, ABC
This game decides the Big Ten West. Wisconsin started off the season looking like the real deal but consecutive losses popped the balloon. Theyâre back on track now, but theyâll have their hands full. A 10-win season for Minnesota has not been done with smoke and mirrors. PJ Fleckâs squad is good. Period. The Golden Gophers get the win at home.
The Pick: Minnesota +2.5 (-110)
Baylor at Kansas, 3:30 PM, ESPN
Kansas has shown some flashes under Les Miles, but it has still been a trying 3-8 season. Baylor is on its way to the Big 12 title game regardless of what happens here and is clearly the better team on paper. That doesnât mean theyâll look past this contest, but they may have a tougher time than expected.
Oregon State at Oregon, 4 PM, PAC12
Oregonâs hopes of a CFP berth were crushed with last weekâs road loss to Arizona State. Oregon State has been anything but a pushover this season. Theyâre just one win away from bowl eligibility. Itâs tough to see them getting it on the Ducks home field, but that doesnât mean they canât make their rival sweat quite a bit.
The Pick: Oregon State +20 (-110)
Notre Dame at Stanford, 4 PM, FOX
The Fighting Irish are closing out the season strong with three consecutive wins by double digits. Meanwhile, Stanford is sitting at four wins with one to go. Theyâll be home for bowl season as a result. Notching a win here will make 10 on the season for Notre Dame. Theyâll make it happen and get the cover.
The Pick: Notre Dame -16.5 (-110)
Tulane at SMU, 4 PM, ESPNU
This is an intriguing tilt thatâs relegated to ESPNU. The Green Wave are 6-5 and have shown a good amount of fight this season. SMU checks in at 9-2 and is on a quest for a 10-win campaign. Tulane gets the nod on defense, while SMU is the better offensive squad. This should be a close one that goes down to the wire, but the Mustangs seal the deal in the end.
