Texas Tech at Oklahoma, 12 PM, FOX
Thereâs a new signal-caller behind center at Oklahoma, but the offense isnât missing a beat. The team has scored 48 or more points in each of its victories. Jalen Hurts is among the Heisman favorites with 13 total TDs so far. Texas Tech can put up some points as well, but they just donât have the horses to keep up. Oklahoma pulls away in the end and covers.
Northwestern at Wisconsin, 12 PM, ABC
Northwestern was a surprise winner of the Big Ten West last season, but the team is off to a rough start this year. Wisconsin has roared out of the gates with three straight wins. They completely dominated Michigan last weekend in a 35-14 win. This is the team to watch in the B10 West this season. Badgers win and cover.
The Pick: Wisconsin -24.5 (-110)
Middle Tennessee at Iowa, 12 PM, ESPN2
Both of these clubs had last week off to get set for this tilt. Middle Tennessee entered the break with a 41-18 home loss to Duke, while Iowa picked up a 1-point road win over Iowa State. The Blue Raiders just donât match up well with a Hawkeyes team which is allowing an average of 10.3 points per game. Iowa takes this one and covers the spread.
Texas A&M vs. Arkansas, 12 PM, ESPN
This is a neutral site affair at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, TX. The Aggies are just 2-2 on the year, but the two losses have come to Clemson and Auburn. The Razorbacks are also 2-2, dropping games to Ole Miss and San Jose State. While A&M may not have enough in the tank to take down Top 10 teams, they can handle business versus an SEC also-ran.
The Pick: Texas A&M -23 (-110)
Kansas at TCU, 12 PM, FS1
Kansas enters the game at 2-2, losing last time out at home to West Virginia. TCU was home last weekend as favorites over TCU, but they fell by a score of 41-38 to fall to 3-1. Last weekâs results aside, these two clubs have been solid on defense in 2019 with both allowing less than 21 points per game. Kansas keeps it closer than expected in a tight affair.
Clemson at North Carolina, 3:30 PM, ABC
Clemson is ranked 1st in the nation and has won each of its four games by double digits. Thereâs nothing to suggest they wonât do the same here. That said, the Tar Heels have shown a good amount of fight this year while going 2-2. Each of their four games have been decided by six points or less. That wonât happen here, but they can keep the margin lower than expected.
The Pick: North Carolina +26.5 (-110)
Indiana at Michigan State, 3:30 PM, BTN
Indiana was drubbed by a score of 51-10 at Ohio State, but they have handled business over three lesser foes. Michigan State dropped a tough 10-7 decision to Arizona State at home in Week 3, but they bounced back last week with a 31-10 win over Northwestern. The offense for the Spartans looks better, and that should continue in another double-digit win.
The Pick: Michigan State -14 (-110)
Virginia at Notre Dame, 3:30 PM, NBC
Virginia enters this game at 4-0, while Notre Dame enters after a tough and close loss at Georgia. This is a chance for the Cavaliers to make a statement, but theyâre also taking a big step up in weight class. However, they can keep it closer than expected versus a Fighting Irish team which left it all on the field last time out.
The Pick: Virginia +12.5 (-110)
USC at Washington, 3:30 PM, FOX
USC was looking like a Pac-12 contender, but an overtime loss to BYU tempered enthusiasm. The team responded with a home victory over Utah as 3.5-point underdogs. Washington has also slipped up this year with a 1-point loss at home to Cal. This is an intriguing matchup of 3-1 squads which arenât that far apart. USC covers the hefty spread.
Iowa State at Baylor, 3:30 PM, ESPN
Last but not least, we have a tilt between Big 12 squads which match up well. These are two solid defensive teams which can also bring it on offense, so that sets the stage for a close, back-and-forth affair. The spread suggests the same with the Hawkeyes installed as slight road favorites. Weâll zag the other way and snag the hosts plus the field goal.
