College Football Week 1 Player Prop Bet Odds, Picks & Predictions: Louisiana-Monroe vs. Texas

Texas QB Quinn Ewers UNDER 238.5 yards passing against Louisiana-Monroe (-115)

The hype around Quinn Ewers is real, and Steve Sarkisian will want to showcase his gunslinger QB in a game against a ULM team that gave up more than 300 yards passing last season to Will Levis (Kentucky) and Max Johnson (LSU).

So why the UNDER? Malik Willis (Liberty) struggled badly against this up-and-down defense, while others like Grayson McCall (Coastal Carolina) and Chase Brice (App State) weren’t needed for monster numbers in blowout wins. So I’m hedging a bit here. With Sark wanting to keep backup Hudson Card happy with playing time or lose him to the transfer portal and Texas expected to rout ULM, I think Ewers falls just short of this number and is sitting comfortably on the sideline by the third quarter.

Texas RB Bijan Robinson OVER 108.5 rushing yards against Louisiana-Monroe (-115)

Trust me when I tell you that Texas wants Bijan Robinson in the Heisman discussion by the end of the season. That means more carries and touches than last year and some big games. ULM can’t handle him, and part of Ewers going under his passing number is my expectation that Robinson will have a big game on the ground. He hit higher than this number in seven games last season, and most of that was against better competition.
