College Football Week 10 Odds, Picks & Prediction: Appalachian State vs. Coastal Carolina
The Fun Belt is back for some weekday action this week, as the conference-leading Coastal Carolina Chanticleers will host the Appalachian State Mountaineers. For the visiting App State, it’s been a mixed bag this season following a 61-63 shootout loss to UNC to start the year, going 5-2 in the time since with both losses coming in the favorite role (JMU and Texas State). Albeit against lesser teams, the offense has started to get rolling as of late, however, scoring 42+ points in three of their past four games.
As for the Chanticleers, an October 15th loss vs. Old Dominion is their only blemish on the season, but it was a bad one, losing outright as 12-point favorites. Bounce back last week vs. Marshall to win 24-13 on the road, oddsmakers have still not seen enough, as they come into this matchup as 2.5-point home underdogs.
Even with the recent injuries at the running back position, I think Coastal QB Grayson McCall is enough for them to get this one done at home.
