College Football Week 13 Odds, Picks & Predictions: Mississippi State vs. Ole Miss
The rumor mill is picking up momentum in Oxford as Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin continues to be all but assured to be heading to Auburn. While that remains to be seen, the job is not finished this season as his 8-3 Rebels now have in-state rival Mississippi State (7-4) remaining to take care of in the Egg Bowl.
For Kiffin, if he is leaving, finishing his Ole Miss run 3-0 vs. the Bulldogs will be one of his biggest successes, putting up 31 points in both games. It won’t be easy, however, as the Rebels have now lost two straight, getting blown out last week at Arkansas following a devastating 24-30 loss at home to Alabama the week prior.
For Mississippi State, Mike Leach has his air-raid offense humming along again, coming into this game 9th in the country with 320.2 yards per game through the air. Even still, I like for Kiffin to be able to rally this team, that was in the top 15 just two weeks ago, to take this one at home.
