College Football Week 3 Same Game Parlay: Penn State vs. Auburn

  • Leg 1: Penn State -3.5 (+100)
  • Leg 2: Under 47.5 total points (-108)
  • Leg 3: Tank Bigsby over 78.5 rushing yards (-114)

Auburn is looking to avenge their loss at Happy Valley last year. If they expect to get come away with a win, they need to come out better than they did against San Jose State. TJ Finely has not looked good in the first two games, with 279 passing yards, one touchdown, and three interceptions. With Robby Ashford being used in the RPO, this offense is one-dimensional.

Thankfully that dimension has Tank Bigsby and Jarquez Hunter as they are one of the best running back tandems in the country. Penn State has only allowed 160 rushing yards in the first two games, but they haven’t faced a backfield nearly as good as this.

The veteran Sean Clifford is having a resurgence year after injuries impacted him last season. He was able to stage a comeback in Week 1 against Purdue, and he was excellent against Ohio.

The question is, how will he do against the Auburn defensive line? They are one of the best in the country, and this Penn State offensive line has been allowing pressure in the first couple of games. True freshman running back Nick Singleton had a great game last week, but I don’t expect him to be a non-factor against this run defense, leaving it on Clifford.

Looking at how they’ve played this year, the Nittany Lions are the better team. Without any efficiency at the quarterback position, you can’t be confident the Tigers will make plays late in that game if they need to.
