Wednesday night Fun Belt action is back tonight as Louisiana-Lafayette heads north to take on the Marshall Thundering Herd. For the visiting Ragin Cajuns, a 2-0 start against weak foes has not translated well as the competition has risen, as they come into this game having now lost their past three straight.
When former head coach Billy Napier departed for Florida, he took his offense with him, as the Ragin Cajuns come into this game ranked 113th in the nation in total yards at 326.6 per game. Their 25.6 points per game also rank among the worst in college football.
Things likely won’t get any easier for Louisiana this week as they visit a Marshall defense giving up just 16.2 points per game to rank #17 in the country. Allowing just 71.2 yards per game on the ground, the Thundering Herd have arguably the best front seven in the Sun Belt.
Having lost to Troy a couple of weeks ago, I like for Marshall to get their first conference win of the season in this one.
