College Football Week 7 Odds, Picks & Predictions: Baylor vs. West Virginia

The Baylor Bears will hit the road this week to take on the WVU Mountaineers, as they look for their first win in Morgantown in program history. Now 1-1 in conference play, the Bears suffered their first defeat of the season the last time we saw them on the field, losing 25-36 to Oklahoma State as 2.5-point favorites.

Now out of the top 25, the Bears will look to respond as QB Blake Shapen leads the way with 1,117 yards, nine touchdowns, and three interceptions on the season. It is worth noting that two of those INTs came late against Okie as he was forced to push the offense.

As for the Mountaineers, their own quarterback JT Daniels has been solid this season, throwing for 1,209 yards of his own with a TD:INT ratio of 8:2. It’s the defense, however, that has been the anchor of WVU’s struggles, as they’ve allowed 43.7 points per loss to this point.

With two weeks to rest, I like for this rested Baylor offense to put up a big number that WVU can’t compete with.

Pick: Baylor -3.5
