College Football Week 7 Odds, Picks & Predictions: LSU vs. Florida
In what should be a hostile environment in The Swamp on Saturday night, LSU will head to town looking for the first true marquee win of the Brian Kelly era. Following an opening game loss to Florida State in New Orleans on Labor Day, the Tigers rattled off four straight wins, in large part thanks to a defense that didn’t allow more than 17 points over that span. A closer look, however, indicates scheduling might have been the most to thank. In their toughest test since last week at home vs. Tennessee, the Volunteers blew their doors off winning 40-13.
As for the home Gators, an opening game win against highly touted Utah appears to have been the highlight of their season, dropping two of three SEC games since vs. Tennessee and Kentucky. They picked up their first last week against Missouri, despite losing the yardage battle and failing to cover as 11-point favorites.
In a game I have closer to a pick-em, I’m taking the points here with the Tigers.
