College Football Week 7 Odds, Picks & Predictions: Penn State vs. Michigan

A massive game is on deck this weekend in the Big 10, as #10 Penn State heads to Michigan to take on the #3 Wolverines. Both undefeated heading into this matchup, Michigan has already racked up four Big 10 wins, most recently defeating Indiana 31-10 after blanking them in the second half 21-0.

Since being the starter in the third game of the season, Michigan QB JJ McCarthy had his best game of the season last week, throwing for 304 yards and three touchdowns on the day. On the ground, Blake Corum continues to be stellar for Michigan, rushing for 124 yards and 11 touchdowns to this point

For the Nittany Lions, their own quarterback Sean Clifford has also to this point turned in a strong season, throwing for nine touchdowns and just two interceptions.

In this one, I like the edge that Clifford gives Penn State in the quarterback department, the challenge will now be whether can he get minimize mistakes and get help defensively. I think he can, but don’t love the number he’s getting to help do so. My attention instead is on the under, with both teams in the top 10 as far as rushing goes this season, as well as having top defenses.
