College Football Week 8 Odds, Picks & Prediction: Texas vs. Oklahoma State
A top 25 matchup in the Big 12 is on hand this weekend in Stillwater, as #20 Texas visits #11 Oklahoma State. For the Longhorns, both of their lsoses this season have been narrow ones, a one-point defeat vs. Alabama on September 10th and a 3-point loss at Texas Tech two weeks later. Since the latter loss, the Longhorns have rattled off three straight wins, racking up a point differential of +71 in the process.
For the home Cowboys, a 5-1 record has been accomplished despite giving up an NCAA worst 14 turnovers. Last week saw their first loss of the season, a back and forth battle at TCU they ultimately lost in OT 40-43. Leading 30-16 in the fourth quarter, Oklahoma State let TCU creep back in late, falling in double-overtime.
With Oklahoma State quarterback Spencer Sanders again questionable for this one, and emotional loss in tow, I look for a let down spot for the Cowboys as Texas rolls.
