NFL Week 15 Odds, Picks & Predictions: Cowboys vs. Jaguars

Season-long data would probably point you to a Cowboy win and cover on Sunday. They’ve been the stronger team with a strong pass rush as well as a two-headed running attack that is second to none in the league. However, this game is a classic case of why you can’t trust the season-long data.

The Jaguars are a young team that is finally coming into themselves under a new head coach with a quarterback in Trevor Lawrence who is basically having a second rookie season. Lawrence has been fantastic the last month or more and especially at home. With improved offensive line play, they can negate a lot of the disruption Dallas depends on with their defensive line.

On defense the Jaguars can actually contain what Dallas does best, run the ball. Though they rank 28th in overall defensive DVOA, they are actually middle of the pack when it comes to run defense, 16th in DVOA.

As the home side in this matchup, I like Jacksonville to pull off the cover and maybe even the upset.
