Overview
Buckle up, because this is about to be the Andy Dalton revenge game! It goes further than the fact that they moved on from him. The Bengals benched him on his birthday last season. The majority of Dallas’ offensive struggles this season have stemmed from the offensive line injuries. The Bengals have the second-worst sack percentage in the league (2.95%). If Dalton is given a clean pocket all game long, Amari Cooper, CeeDee Lamb, and Michael Gallup are all going to eat. Cincinnati allows 7.2 yards per pass attempt and 4.7 yards per carry, which are both in the bottom seven of the league. There’s a solid chance these numbers get worse following this matchup.
Meanwhile, Dallas’ defense is also terrible. They allow 5.9 yards per play, which is the sixth-worst in the league. Dallas also struggles to keep teams out of the end zone, allowing a league-high 32.8 points per game. Is this bad enough for a struggling offense to find some success? The Bengals’ offense has been able to find the end zone just twice over the past two games. Brandon Allen has given us absolutely nothing to be confident about, as he has completed just 58.3% of his passes this season, which is actually an improvement from a small sample with Denver. For the Bengals to win, the defense will need to keep this a low-scoring game. They have held opponents to 20 points or less for three straight games, though this is the most talent they have seen at the skill positions in awhile.
Trends
- Dallas is 4-1 straight up in its last five games against Cincinnati.
- The total has hit the under in four of Dallas' last five games against Cincinnati.
- Cincinnati is 4-0-1 against the spread (ATS) in its last six home games.
Prop Bet

Anytime 1st Half TD Scorer: Ezekiel Elliott (+200)
Mike McCarthy has the tendency to run Ezekiel Elliott early, then get away from that game plan. All we’re looking for is a first-half touchdown, so that tendency will not matter here. Dallas should find success moving the football, and Zeke has the best chance to score when they get in close.
Bottom Line
While there isn’t much for Dallas to be confident about this season, they have too much talent not to put up points against the Bengals. Whether it’s on the ground with Ezekiel Elliott or through the air from Andy Dalton, the Cowboys should find the end zone a few times. Cincinnati does not have enough talent or competence at quarterback to keep up.
Pick: Cowboys -3.5
