Dana White’s Contender Series Picks & Predictions (Week 7)
Another four fighters earned a contract in Week 6 of Dana White's Contender Series, bringing the total to 28. Season 10 is winding down, with four more cards left for prospects to earn a contract. The Meta Apex in Las Vegas once again is the stage for five fights on Tuesday evening. The week six card starts at 7:00 p.m. ET on Paramount+. Dana White's Contender Series Picks: Week 7
Light Heavyweight: Emilio Quissua vs. Damian Piwowarczyk
The first fight of the night is at 205 pounds between Emilio Quissua and Damian Piwowarczyk. Quissua is an 8-0 fighter from Germany, while Piwowarczyk is 11-4 from Poland.
Quissua last fought in January at OKTAGON 83. He won in the first round when his opponent suffered a knee injury. Quissua beat Mateusz Strzelczyk before that at OKTAGON 75 via a first-round knockout. He has five knockout victories and three decision victories since 2021.
Piwowarczyk is coming off a second-round knockout at KSW 116 in March over Sergiusz Zajac. His last loss was via submission in September 2024, by rear-naked choke in the first round. He has two decision losses and a knockout loss. The knockout loss occurred in August 2022, five seconds into KSW 73.
Quissua is a technical striker with a solid jab. He’s a bit shorter than Piwowarczyk, but that should not be a problem. He will have a speed advantage and better striking defense. Piwowarczyk is a brawler and puts himself in bad situations. He will eat a punch to land a punch, which is not a good idea against an accurate striker.
This could be a quick fight to start the night, which is not unusual in this weight class. Quissua is a better striker and can stay on his feet. Piwowarczyk could walk into a power punch and have his lights turned off in the first round.

Lightweight: Callum Connor vs. Piero Guaylupo
The second fight on the card is in the lightweight division between Callum Connor and Piero Guaylupo. Both men are undefeated, but Guaylupo is 21, while Connor is 26. Guaylupo is 11-0, and Connor is 8-0.
Guaylupo last fought in May against Maicon Miler at INKA 57. He won via knockout in the fourth round. He started fighting as an amateur in 2023, going 2-0 before his first professional bout. Guaylupo has accumulated a lot of octagon time in the last three years, with 10 knockouts and one decision victory.
Connor started as an amateur in 2021. He went 5-1, losing his last amateur bout via unanimous decision. Connor has five knockout victories in his professional career, including his last bout in April. He won in the second round. Connor also has two wins via decision and one by submission.
Guaylupo has not fought the highest level of competition, but he has shown good cardio. He is a well-rounded fighter with solid striking and takedown defense. He is a decent boxer and pressures opponents.
Connor fights well at range and is tall for the division. He stands three to four inches taller than Guaylupo. He was much taller when they faced off at weigh-ins. Connor uses a lot of kicks to all three levels and has a solid jab.
Guaylupo has to make this fight dirty, but that is what he does. Connor wins this fight at range, but Guaylupo wins at close range. He thrives in brawls and as a pressure striker. This should be a close fight, but Guaylupo is the better bet and will go all out to put on a show.
