We ended up going 1-1 last week, but Cesar Almeida still put us in the positive as a +220 underdog. This week we have five more intriguing matchups with five more possible contracts up for grabs. Let’s dive into a couple of advantageous spots!!

Strawweight: Eduarda Moura (-150) vs Janaina Silva (+110) 

Eduarda Moura has a record of 8-0 with 3 KOs/TKOs, 4 submissions, and 1 decision. Three of Moura’s four submission victories are rear-naked chokes. If she gets Silva’s back, this fight could be over. Moura fights out of Galpao Da Luta, which is the home of heavyweight darkhorse contender Jailton Almeida. Moura won the vacant DemoFight Strawweight Championship earlier this year and will now look to capitalize in this co-main event. 

Janaina Silva has a record of 5-0 with 2 KOs/TKOs and 3 decisions. Silva won her last fight in LFA by unanimous decision. She fights out of Babuino Gold Team, which has a litany of fighters with a decent amount of professional fights. 

Bet: Eduarda Moura (-150) Moura should dominate the grappling exchanges.

George Hardwick (-350) vs Abdul-Kareem Al-Selwady (+240)

George Hardwick has a record of 12-1 with 5 KOs/TKOs, 3 submissions, and 4 decisions. Hardwick is the reigning Cage Warriors Lightweight Champion. Hardwick is 6-1 in Cage Warriors with two title defenses and four straight finishes. He fights out of Middlesbrough Academy. Hardwick is viewed by many to be overqualified to be on DWCS. 

Abdul-Kareem Al-Selwady has a record of 14-3 with 8 KOs/TKOs/, 2 submissions and 4 decisions. Al-Selwady won the Fury FC Lightweight Championship in his last bout. He also fights out of Fortis MMA, which has countless UFC fighters: Alex Morono, Damn Jackson, Ryan Spann, and Geoff Neal, just to name a few. I have trouble laying the type of juice in a DWCS matchup. I will be leaning toward Al-Selwady.
