Dana White's Contender Series Week 10 Picks

(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)

Middleweight: Nick Klein (+145) vs. Heraldo Souza (-188

All roads lead to a Middleweight showdown in the main event, as Nick "Blue Collar" Klein squares off against Heraldo "Savage" Souza. Souza's a sizable -188 Moneyline favorite, while Klein sits at +145 to win his third consecutive bout.

Keeping it with Klein, he has posted a 5-1-0 professional record, including going 1-0-0 in the Legacy Fighting Alliance. The American stands at 6-foot-1 and is a freestyle fighter out of Wisconsin. As for Souza, the 29-year-old Brazilian is riding a five-fight winning streak. He's 9-1-1 overall in his pro career. Savage has eight finishes (3 KO, 5 SUB), and his lone loss came by knockout.

I'm going to take a flier on the underdog in the main event on Tuesday. Klein has faced a couple of experienced fighters in his last two bouts (34-25 combined record), and he's submitted them both with Rear Naked Chokes. As for Souza, he only has two fights against competitors with double-digit wins, going 1-1.

While the Brazilian has been dominating, you could make an argument his record isn't all it's hyped up to be due to a lack of experienced opposition. I believe Klein possesses the necessary Brazilian jiu-jitsu skills to hold his own if the fight goes to the floor or have the advantage on the canvas. All things considered, I'll sprinkle on Klein as an underdog in this spot.

Bet: Nick Klein Moneyline (+145)

Featherweight: Yadier DelValle (-120) vs. Antonio Monteiro (-110

The middle bout on Tuesday's five-fight card features a Featherweight showdown at 145 pounds between Yadier DelValle and Antonio Monterio. The oddsmakers view DelValle as a slim -120 favorite, while Monteiro comes back at -110 to get his hand raised.

DelValle's 7-0-0 in his career, earning four finishes (2 KO, 2 SUB) while seeing three bouts go to the judges' scorecards. He's a 28-year-old Cuban-born brawler, known for his Judo and wrestling. As for his opponent, he's a 29-year-old Brazilian, who comes into the bout at 17-4-1 with one no-contest. Monterio's riding a six-fight winning streak. The six opponents' combined record equates to 89-51-2. DelValle's opponents over his seven-fight streak are 30-12-0.

From a betting perspective, I'm backing Monteiro as the slightest of underdogs. The Brazilian has a two-inch height disadvantage, but I don't think it'll matter much. He's proven to be an excellent grappler, as he's racked up five submission victories in his career. He also has a trio of knockouts, so he's comfortable on the feet as well. Furthermore, Monteiro is undoubtedly the more experienced fighter, which leads me to believe he'll come in with an appropriate game plan as he tries to earn a UFC contract. Give me Monterio on the Moneyline.

Bet: Antonio Monteiro Moneyline (-110)
