Medvedev has been quoted in the past arguing with umpires and calling clay “a bad surface,” but with his surprising tournament win in Rome, Medvedev has now won ATP titles in 20 different cities, and became the 10th active ATP player to win titles on hard courts (both indoor and outdoor), grass and clay.
