Miami has dropped four in a row, but the inclination to bet against them here is short-sighted. The Patriots’ offense rates 28th in the NFL per Weighted DVOA, and 27th in Success Rate over their past five games. Although this game is crucial for their playoff hopes, New England’s status as a playoff contender has been fraudulent all season– all but one of their victories have come against now backup quarterbacks.
The Patriots are once again fortunate to face Miami backup QB Teddy Bridgewater this weekend, but Teddy has a strong reputation in this spot. For his career, Bridgewater is 20-4 ATS as a road underdog. The Dolphins recent stretch is concerning, but their losses are not so egregious. Trust Miami and their offensive staff to get a win in Foxboro.
