And just like that, we are onto the 2022 FIFA World Cup knockout round, as single-elimination bracket-style play is set to begin on Saturday morning. After the USA’s fate is decided on Saturday, four teams will be in action Sunday as Group D winner France takes on Poland and Group B winner England takes on Senegal.

2022 World Cup Same Game Parlay Picks & Predictions: England vs. Senegal
England vs. Senegal (Al Bayt Stadium, Al Khor; 2 p.m.)
- Leg 1: Tie – Regulation (+295)
- Leg 2: Anytime Goalscorer – Harry Kane (+115)
- Leg 3: Over 2.5 Goals (-235)
Despite the United States’ sturdy backline withstanding a dominant performance from Gregg Berhalter’s team in a hard-fought game that ended 0-0, table-topping England easily defeated the Islamic Republic of Iran 6-2 and Wales 3-0 to finish first in their respective group.
The attacking talent in Gareth Southgate’s team is crucial for success, and it’ll be challenged here against an underrated Senegal side. Few teams have the ability to start players like Raheem Sterling and Bukayo Saka before switching to the bench for new dynamics from Marcus Rashford, Jack Grealish, and Phil Foden.
But regardless of who starts or comes off the bench against a difficult Sengalese team, Southgate will need all of his players to be prepared. Senegal’s path to the quarterfinals has not been easy, as they needed to defeat Ecuador in their final group match to guarantee their spot in the round of 16.
They could not afford to lose against Qatar and Ecuador after losing their first game to the Netherlands. With five different players contributing to each of their goals, including Watford winger Ismaila Sarr, manager Aliou Cisse will enjoy having several players in his team he can count on to perform when called upon.
I like for Harry Kane to find the scorer’s sheet for the first time in these games as England grinds out a tight game that requires overtime.
