Friday Game

Southampton V AFC Bournemouth

Southampton won two of the three games in the run-up to the international break and continued that last week beating Sheffield United 1-0 away. The home team have kept a number of clean sheets this season, but have faced some of the least prolific teams this season.

Bournemouth beat Everton in their last game, continuing a great run of form this season. Bournemouth may not have the most reliable defense in the league, but they are able to score goals.

Market Choice: Draw with Goals +335

Saturday Games (Main Slate)

Leicester City v Tottenham (Early Kick-Off)

Leicester City was unbeaten in the league until they lost to Manchester United last week. Brendan Rodgers team have been a constant goal threat this season and will be disappointed that they weren’t able to score last week. However, with the attacking talent they possess, they are a constant threat.

Tottenham have had a mixed start to the season, although they were able to beat Crystal Palace effectively in their last game. Tottenham seems to be suffering from some off-the-pitch problems, and that looks to have split onto the field. After a midweek tie, Tottenham faces a tricky tie this weekend.

Market Choice: Leicester City +188

Burnley v Norwich City

Burnley is consistently a tough team to face, forcing teams to earn any result – especially at home. However, Burnley has struggled for form this season.

Norwich will be looking to build on their upset victory against Manchester City. Norwich has a goal-scoring threat with Teemu Pukki a constant threat to defenses, and with Burnley’s struggles, Norwich is a great option this weekend.

Market Choice: Norwich +270

Everton v Sheffield United

This game has two teams that have been inconsistent all season. Everton was outplayed in their last outing and will be looking forward to returning to Goodison Park. The home team’s form at Goodison has been great and the team has a chance to win their seventh straight league match at home.

Sheffield United have been competitive so far this season, taking five points from five games so far this season. United have scored in each of their games so far this season other than the disappointing defeat to Southampton last week.

Market Choice: Both Teams To Score Yes -108

Manchester City v Watford

Manchester City will be aiming for a big performance this week. The team suffered a shock defeat to Norwich City last weekend, but returning to the Etihad Stadium to face Watford has the hallmark of a big victory this week.

Watford are bottom of the table and have only scored four times this season. Watford has been beaten in each of their last 15 away games against the Premier League’s top six clubs, and that run is set to continue this week.

Market Choice: Asian Handicap Manchester City -2.75 +112

Newcastle United v Brighton & Hove Albion

This matchup brings together two teams that need a result to kick-start their season. Newcastle started their season with an unlikely win against Tottenham Hotspur and a draw against Norwich City. Since then they have struggled to get anything going, but will be aiming for a result at home, but have struggled to score this season.

Brighton could force the home team to have to score goals, as they have the ability to steal a goal. This season Brighton have been utilizing a new attack on the road, winning two of their three matchups on the road this season. The only match that Brighton wasn’t able to get a result from on the road was a matchup against title contenders Manchester City.

Market Choice: Brighton or Tie -180

Sunday Games

Crystal Palace v Wolverhampton Wanderers

Crystal Palace have only managed to score three goals so far this season, getting their results through a highly effective defense. However, in a matchup at home Palace have to be heavily favorited to get a result, and will look to their attacking options to improve their records this weekend.

Wolves defense is a mess at this point in the season, having conceded eight goals in their last two league games. Wolves were effective last season, but seem to be suffering from the volume of games in European competition this season.

Market Choice: Crystal Palace +163

West Ham United v Manchester United

West Ham are unbeaten since the opening day thrashing by Manchester City, meaning that they are level on points with third-placed Tottenham Hotspur. The team is well balanced with defensive and attacking players both in form, meaning West Ham are a great option. Especially with Manchester United struggling for form this season.

Manchester United are battling with a number of injuries and were lucky to have beaten Leicester City last weekend. The team continued their struggles in a midweek tie in the Europa League. Manchester United are unlikely to leave with a result in this encounter.

Market Choice: West Ham +240

Arsenal v Aston Villa

Arsenal are the easy option in this match. As with previous seasons, Arsenal have struggled throughout the season with defensive lapses, but the attacking talent on the team should prove to be too much for Aston Villa’s defense.

Aston Villa are very unlikely to get any result in this matchup. Villa haven’t scored a goal in their last two matchups, even with Arsenal’s defensive frailties, they are unlikely to be able to get a result away from home.

Market Choice: Asian Handicap Arsenal -1.75 +140

Chelsea v Liverpool

Chelsea welcome Liverpool to Stamford Bridge, itching to get back on track after losing to Valencia in the Champions League. Frank Lampard’s men were soundly beaten in the opening match against Manchester United, but since then they have improved, due in part to the impressive performances of Tammy Abraham and Mason Mount.

Liverpool are currently the only team to have not dropped a point this season and have scored 15 times this season already. Liverpool have scored at least two goals in their last 14 Premier League games and should be too much for Chelsea to handle in the game.

Market Choice: Asian Handicap Liverpool -0.75 +125
