Boston Celtics @ Detroit Pistons
The Celtics are closing in on the top seed in the Eastern Conference. On Friday, they'll take on Detroit, one of the worst teams in the conference. Early on, Detroit was actually performing well on First Baskets, but that momentum has slowed down significantly since the All-Star break. Boston still remains one of the best in the league.
The matchup with Detroit is intriguing. They've often given up First Baskets to wings and Boston is full of them. But there is still one player for whom the matchup sticks out the most.
Jaylen Brown remains one of the best First Basket prop players in the league. He has been successful 13 times already this season. Add to this that he's scored first for Boston 19 times, nearly one-third of the games he's started this year. He's typically a strong bet for this prop, but the matchup with Detroit makes it even juicier.
Bet: Jaylen Brown First-Basket Scorer (+450)

NHL Best Bets

Columbus Blue Jackets @ Colorado Avalanche
The best player props are the top line of Colorado on home ice against Columbus. There are no combos that I dislike among their big three, so feel free to play those at will.
That being said, our projections love Jake Guentzel tonight. In his six games with Carolina, the 29-year-old has eight points, and the Canes have won five in a row. There is a clear top four in the Eastern Conference, and they are all jockeying for the top seed with 12-13 games to go. Washington is making a push for a wild card spot, but they are on the outside looking in.
The books are predicting that Carolina will get it done, and if that happens, I think Guentzel will have a big hand in it.
Bet: Jake Guentzel 2+ Points (+215)

College Basketball Best Bets

#16 Longwood vs. #1 Houston
- Leg 1: Houston Alt Line -19.5 (-214)
- Leg 2: L.J. Cryer Over 2.5 3pt Field Goals (-125)
- Leg 3: L.J. Cryer Over 14.5 Points (-123)
- Leg 4: Jamal Shead Over 6.5 Assists (+104)
I can see this Cougars team coming out on a mission after losing to Iowa State by 20+ points in the Big 12 Championship game.
The Longwood Lancers don't have many positives to write about, which makes me think they will have a hard time defending this Houston offense. Out of 360 teams, Longwood ranks 238th in defending the 3-point shot and 205th in defending inside the arc. L.J. Cryer, Jamal Shead and Emanuel Sharp should have a field day.
Total Parlay Odds: +430
