Golden Knights vs. Predators

The Golden Knights open up the second half of the year with a two-game road trip, playing tonight in Nashville and following that up with a stop in Minnesota on Thursday night. Tonight's Western Conference clash is slated for 8:00 p.m. ET from Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, TN.

Similar to the above-mentioned game, these two teams are also currently on opposite trajectories. The Golden Knights have fallen out of first place in the Pacific and currently sit in third with 62 points. They're just 1-5-2 over their last eight contests. As for the Predators, they've won five of their last six games and still find themselves hanging around the playoff race with 54 points.

I'm backing the Preds on their home ice tonight. They're 14-7-3 at Bridgestone Arena, including five straight winning efforts. From a statistical standpoint, look for them to rely on the excellent goaltending abilities of Juuse Saros. The Finnish netminder is 13-6-3 at home with a 2.57 GAA and .923 SV%. I expect him to shut down this Vegas team that's averaging just 2.0 goals per game over their last eight contests.
