Islanders vs. Senators

The Islanders have hit a rough patch over the last three weeks, going just 1-6-3 in their last 10 games. They'll attempt to get back in the win column tonight against a scrappy, young Senators team. This Eastern Conference clash gets underway at 7:00 p.m. ET from the Canadian Tire Centre in Ontario. 

I will kick the Isles while they're down and fade them on the road tonight. It seems like New York has relied on their defense and goaltending in recent history, and that's exactly what's been failing them during the downturn. Over the above-mentioned 10-game span, the Islanders have conceded 35 goals, equating to a 3.5 GAA mark. 

While the Senators aren't necessarily the premier example of an NHL offense, they should be able to sneak a few goals past this down-trending Islanders team. Their biggest strength has been their power play, which ranks fourth overall at 26.29%. If the Sens can notch three goals tonight, we'll be in a great position to cash this ticket.
