Jake Paul vs. Tommy Fury: Boxing Preview, Odds, Picks & Prediction
It’s a done deal. In February, Jake Paul and Tommy Fury will finally get in the ring together and settle their beef once and for all.
On February 26th, a 185-pound, eight-round boxing bout will feature Paul (6-0) versus Fury (8-0). Two fights between the two were initially planned, but Fury pulled out of both. Now that a date has been established, the match will take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and will be broadcast live on ESPN+. The price of the card is $49.99, and it will air at 2 p.m. ET/11 a.m. PT.
Let’s stake a closer look at both fighters and how this one might shake out.

When Fury withdrew due to a bacterial chest illness and a damaged rib, their initial battle in December 2021 was called off. As a replacement, coming in with only two weeks’ notice, Tyron Woodley lost his rematch with Paul.

When Fury was refused admission to the United States because of his family’s connections to Irish mafia boss Daniel Kinahan, who is wanted by the U.S. authorities, the second fight was canceled. Fury was scheduled to fight Paul in that match this past August at Madison Square Garden in New York.
After knocking out Woodley, Paul defeated former UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva by unanimous decision last October, adding another former MMA champion to his résumé. Paul committed to a multi-fight deal with PFL, where he plans to fight in both boxing and mixed martial arts.
Fury, a boxer with a perfect record and the half-brother of heavyweight boxing champion Tyson Fury, last fought in April 2022 in London when he defeated Daniel Bocianski. Prior to that, he won by split decision against boxer and MMA fighter Anthony Taylor on the same evening as Paul’s first triumph over Woodley.
Bottom Line
The odds for this fight opened around a pick em’, but as expected, the more popular Paul has drawn a heap load of money in the time since. As of January 29th, Paul has inflated to as high as a -172 favorite (FanDuel), while Fury is settled in around +135 where available.
I think the attention in the market is warranted, and Paul wins this bout with relative ease. If not for his older half-brother, Fury likely doesn’t even get this shot, and I don’t see him in the same realm as the steadily-competent Paul.
