Pegula’s French Open results have improved each of the last two years, from a third-round exit in 2021 to a quarterfinals apperance last year. This year’s draw was a bit of good news/bad news for Pegula, as she dreq arguably the toughest first-round opponent of any top contender in compatriot Danielle Collins. However, the rest of the draw sets up nicely for her, as she arguably has the easiest potential quarterfinal opponent in Maria Sakkari.

2023 French Open Betting Advice & Picks

Pegula cannot be considered a serious threat to win the French Open since she failed to reach the finals in Charleston and Madrid, and shockingly lost her first round match at the Italian Open in her last tournament. However, she also reached the finals in doubles at Roland Garros last year, and a semifinal appearance for Pegula this year is not out of the cards.
