Don’t look now, but the Kraken are moving up in the standings. Their eight-game winning streak was snapped last night, but their offense has been incredible by averaging 4.4 goals over their last ten games.

When you talk about the Oilers, you need to mention the outstanding season of Connor McDavid. Currently sitting with 83 points, and that’s 15 ahead of the next person, who happens to be his teammate Leon Draisaitl.

Lately, they’ve been better than usual on the defensive side by allowing just five goals during their three-game winning streak. It’s not a great sample because two of them were against the Ducks, who are last in points scored, and the Sharks who are 22nd.

In the short history of this matchup, each game has hit the over, and I expect it to again with two top-four offenses.
