With another full slate this week, let’s take a closer look at the schedule and see where we can find the value.

Thursday
Levante vs. Atletico Madrid, 2:00 PM Est
Narrowly avoiding relegation last season, Levante might not be so lucky this season as they’ve started 0-5-5 out of the gates with a goal differential of -9 and sit 19th of 20 teams in the table. Their last time out might have been their best effort to date, a 3-5 loss to #3 Sevilla, as they could not stop anything in a sloppy defensive affair.
Before that game, you had to go back to September 18th for Levante’s last goal, a 1-1 draw against Elche, also a bottom feeder in the league.
Now, Levante welcomes an Atletico Madrid team with 13 goals (+5) through 9 games and will be looking to pick up all the easy victories they can before the schedule gets tougher this winter. The last time we saw them on the pitch, they took league leader Real Sociedad to the brink, securing a 2-2 tie in a back and forth game they dominate stretches of.
Led by all-world striker Luis Suarez and his seven goals, Angel Correa has proved to be a more than adequate #2 as he has four goals on the season and is finding more chemistry with Suarez each week.
In this one, I expect the more talented Atletico to have their way early and find the back of the net often as they beat up on a weaker Levante squad who, before last week, had just six goals on the entire season.
