Real Sociedad vs. Real Madrid, 12:30 PM, EST
With 29 points, Real Sociedad feels good about themselves as they currently sit #3 on the table and are firmly in control of their destiny as far as getting a bid for Champions League. Sociedad stumbled last week on the road at Espanyol, losing a close 1-0 match, following a stretch where they had picked up at least one point in their previous nine matches.
In this one, Real Madrid, their opponent, picked up their fifth straight win last week with a 1-0 win over Athletic Bilbao, which was their seventh in their previous 10. Their 35 goals on the season are a clear nine ahead of their next opponent, as they come into this one averaging over 2.1 goals per match.
With one of the most lethal 1-2 punches in all of European soccer, Karim Benzema and Vinicius Junior combined for 28 of those goals between the two and averaged over 1.3 goals on their own.
In this one, I like for both to slot one and win this one easily on the short trip to San Sebastian.
