La Liga Betting: Weekly Odds & Game Picks: Week 21 (2022)
The back half of the 2021-22 La Lig season is officially upon us, as the calendar turn marks the start of the home stretch. With the familiar names near the top, the race is on for the middle of the pack to continue jockeying for position to get one of the coveted top five spots on the table.
Let’s take a closer look at one matchup this week I have my eye on.

Granada vs. Barcelona, 10:15 AM, EST
It’s been a rough go of things for FC Barcelona this season, as their perennial superstar Lionel Messi departed in the offseason. Next, the club’s manager Ronald Koeman was relieved of his duties at the end of October, as the club had fallen into a mediocre slump that saw them reach as low as #7 on the table.
Having clawed back since, they now sit #5 on the table. They come into this one 2-2-1 over their last five games. Their two wins, however, have come by narrow one-goal margins against bottom feeders of the league in Elche and Mallorca.
Now Barcelona hits the road to face a team in Granada who’s surging up the table. In fact, you have to go all the way back to November 21st to find the last time they lost in La Liga, a loss to league leader Real Madrid. Over their last three, they have a goal differential of +4 (6-2), and I like their ability to find the back of the net to continue in this one.
Look for Granada to pull the slight upset against a team in Barcelona who continues to be overvalued by the oddsmakers.
