La Liga Odds, Picks & Predictions: Valencia vs Atletico Madrid

It’s fair to say that Valencia manager Gennaro Gattuso, who was a beast of a player, expects his guys to put in the same level of effort. If there are any concerns from his first two games in charge of Valencia, they are not on the defensive side of the ball as  Valencia has thus far only allowed three shots on goal and one allowed in. When Atletico Madrid visits on Monday, they’ll have their biggest test yet, however.

Following a dismal 2-0 home loss to Villarreal, Atletico should be extra motivated coming to town for this one. However, it will be an uphill battle against a seemingly reinvigorated Valencia side. The home team will have to contend with a critical injury, however, as Valencia striker Huro Duro is now expected to miss time with an ankle injury suffered last week.

For Atletico Madrid, there are no such concerns, as striker Álvaro Morata is healthy for this match and looking to add to his two goals on the season. In this calendar year, across all competitions, Morata has six goals and is turning into one of the most elite goal scorers in all of Spain.

Pick: Atletico Madrid +100
