La Liga Picks & Predictions: Week 9

(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)

Málaga vs. Real Sociedad

Even if Málaga is playing at home, it's tough to back them right now. They are at the bottom of the La Liga table with a 0-4-4 record.

Meanwhile, Real Sociedad is 2-1-0 in their last three matches with two wins in La Liga play. They've scored seven goals during that span.

I expect them to win. I also anticipate that Mikel Oyarzabal, who has yet to score in La Liga this season, will find the back of the net in this one.

Picks: Real Sociedad Moneyline (+115) and Mikel Oyarzabal Anytime Goalscorer (+180)

Real Madrid vs. Sevilla

This is a matchup between two teams in the top five in the La Liga table right now.

Real Madrid is fourth with 18 points at 6-0-2, while Sevilla is fifth with 14 points at 4-2-2. But one of these teams is playing a bit better recently.

Real Madrid is 4-0-1 in its last five total matches, outscoring opponents 13-8 during that span. Meanwhile, Sevilla hasn't won any of its last three outings, tallying five goals in its last five games.

I expect Real Madrid to win by more than two goals at home.

Pick: Real Madrid -1.5 (-160)

Getafe vs. Rayo Vallecano

This will be the only La Liga match played on Monday, and it could be a very interesting clash between two teams looking to find their rhythm.

Getafe and Rayo Vallecano are both in the bottom half of the table with eight points each; Rayo Vallecano is 2-2-3, and Getafe is 2-2-4. Getafe is 1-2-2 in their last five matches, while Rayo Vallecano is 2-1-2.

Getafe is at home, and it hasn't been easy to score against this club. They've allowed just six goals in their last five outings - three if you don't count the 3-0 loss against Barcelona - and now they're at home.

I think this could very well end in a scoreless draw, and there's a great deal of value in that prediction.

Picks: Draw (+200) & Under 0.5 Total Goals (+600)
