New York Liberty at Minnesota Lynx WNBA Picks
The most anticipated matchup of the day is the WNBA Finals rematch between the Liberty and the Lynx. These two teams have picked up right where they left off and compiled the two best records in the WNBA.
The Liberty were dealt a blow last week with the injury to star forward Brianna Stewart early in the loss to the Sparks. Her absence was felt again on Monday when the Liberty lost to the Wings. Without the presence of Stewart on the defensive end, the Liberty have struggled to slow down their opponents as the Sparks scored 101 and the Wings added 92 in their victories.
Minnesota has been very impressive on offense this season with the league's best mark of 53.2% eFG% and their turnover rate is one of the lowest in the league. They're a team that takes a lot of three-pointers (26.3 3PA per game) and make a lot (35.2% 3P%). Given the deficiencies that New York has shown on the defensive end with Stewart out, I like Minnesota to exact some revenge and roll in this rematch.
