Cameron Smith Course History
Cameron Smith has made five appearances at Augusta National in his career. The 28-year old Aussie has been tremendous three of the past four years at The Masters, earning three top-ten finishes, including a tenth-place finish in 2021. Smith has arguably the best irons on the PGA Tour this season, which will lend nicely to navigating the numerous sand bunkers and tree-lined fairways at Augusta. His recent sustained success at The Masters will increase Smith’s confidence as he seeks his third win of the season but his first at Augusta.

Cameron Smith Recent Form
Smith has been on a tear in 2022, beginning with a win at the Sentry Tournament of Champions in Hawaii, followed by a missed cut, a T33 finish at the Genesis Invitational, and his second win of the season at The Players Championship a couple of weeks ago. His three events in the Fall were nothing short of impressive either, as Smith yielded finishes of T9, T15, and T4 to elevate himself up the FedExCup rankings early on. One missed cut after his first win of the season is Smith’s only blemish on his resumé this season. He’s a strong candidate to win at Augusta National for the first time this weekend.

The Pick: Cameron Smith to Win (+1600 on Caesars Sportsbook)
Getting +1600 odds on a two-time winner in only seven events means you have to take Cameron Smith. He’s a fantastic value and nearly won at Augusta in 2020. Smith has been on the brink a couple of times, and his seventh-ranked Greens in Regulation percentage (72.65%) means he’s going to put himself in the best position to draw birdies frequently.
After all, Smith is ranked first in birdie average (5.58/round) and has a fantastic putter to pile onto his other impressive metrics. In addition, he’ll have three whole weeks to rest leading up to the first round at Augusta, so expect Smith to be on his A-game at the most prestigious event of the PGA Tour.
I like Cameron Smith to finally get over the hump and earn his first career win at The Masters during its conclusion Sunday evening.
